Food and Drug Administration (FDA): The U.S. government agency whose mission is "to promote and protect the public health by helping safe and effective products reach the market in a timely way, and [by] monitoring products for continued safety after they are in use."

fluoxetine hydrochloride: The official name for Prozac, a depression-treating antidepressant.

habituation: A decrease in responsiveness that results from repeated exposure to a stimulus.

hallucination: An imagined occurrence, either visual or auditory.

huffing: The act of inhaling substances (often common household products, such as glue, spray paint, gasoline, etc.) in order to achieve a high.

hypomania: A mild form of mania.
 
ionized-air reception: A type of therapy that uses high voltage to electrically charge the air.
